The revolutionary anchoring system and an integrated run-flat system work together to give PAX System users a new level of performance and safety versus traditional tires.

Greater Safety and Freedom
When it comes to safety, PAX® System is way out in front of traditional tire and wheel assemblies. The most fundamental difference between the two is that a PAX System tire is designed to never separate from the rim, even with the occurrence of a sudden flat at high speeds under normal driving conditions. The inner support ring also offers exceptional maneuverability and control in the event of a blowout. And should a flat occur, PAX System allows for the vehicle to be driven up to 125 miles at 55 mph, which means you'll never be stranded on the side of the road.

Peak Performance All Around
Perhaps the most distinct advantage to PAX® System is its improved level of performance. When compared to a traditional tire, a PAX System tire possesses a shorter, yet more flexible sidewall for less tire roll, better road grip and more responsive control.

Driving Toward a Greener Tomorrow
Placing importance on creating environmentally responsible products has always been a priority at Michelin. PAX® System is no exception. PAX System tires offer a superior level of fuel economy compared to traditional tires thanks to reduced rolling resistance. PAX System tires, like all Michelin® tires, provide excellent tread wear for long life, are repairable if punctured in the tread area and have a reusable support ring. Additionally, PAX System completely eliminates the need for a spare tire.

Here's how it works.
Asymmetric Diameters and Unseatable Anchoring System: You're in command of your vehicle, even in the event of a flat tire.
Wider and with a larger diameter than an equivalent standard wheel, a PAX System wheel is designed as a single unit made of steel or alloy. With a traditional tire, inflation pressure holds the tire to the rim. The innovative anchoring mechanism of PAX System is designed to not separate from the rim and actually improves its hold when vertical loads are applied to the tire.
Flexible Support Ring: You can drive up to 125 miles at zero pressure safely.
The flexible support ring is fitted to the wheel so you can travel with a flat tire. Its load bearing capacity supports the tire when there is air pressure loss. In fact, you can drive up to 55 mph for up to 125 miles with zero pressure.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System: You'll know immediately when your tires are low.
Direct measurement tire pressure monitoring (TPM) systems use wheel-mounted sensors to measure the temperature and internal pressure of each tire at regular intervals. The sensors transfer information by radio frequency signal to an electronic control unit located inside the vehicle. The systems warn drivers in real time of any pressure loss in each individual tire via a dashboard display.
PAX System Tire: You get the handling of a performance tire and comfort of a touring tire.
PAX System tires have a shorter sidewall and great flexibility. This design contributes to improved cornering power without giving up anything in the way of ride quality.
